SKYLIST Boosts Involvement in Email Sender and Provider Coalition
Growing Email Service Provider Joins Steering Committee; Executives Show Leadership Through Active Sub-Committee Work
Austin, TX-February 3, 2004 -- As further evidence of their commitment to protecting legitimate email while combating spam, SKYLIST, an Austin Texas-based email service provider, today announced it has increased it's involvement and investment in the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC) by becoming a member of the steering committee.
"We joined the Email Sender and Provider Coalition because of the organization's unique ability to understand spam-related issues and its ability to help email service providers and good senders navigate through them," said Josh Baer, CEO of SKYLIST. "In just one year, the ESPC has done more for the interactive marketing industry than other coalitions accomplish in their lifespan. Stepping up our commitment and involvement on several sub-committees was a no-brainer."
The ESPC is currently working on solutions to spam and deliverability concerns through a combination of legislative advocacy, technological development, and industry standards. SKYLIST's Baer and director of Sales and Marketing, Lana McGilvray, are helping fuel these efforts through their active participation in the technology and communications sub-committees, respectively. Boosting their commitment to ESPC is the latest in a series of events designed to step up their leadership and dedication to email best practices. In January, the company announced they were the first ESP to incorporate CAN-SPAM compliance into their StormPost™ email marketing platform.
