FCC may be investigating Verizon's "supercookie"

Reports out today indicate that the FCC is investigating Verizon’s “Supercookie,” as confirmed by its letters in response to a request from Senators, Blumenthal, Markey, and Nelson.  The FCC appears to be getting more serious on privacy and data security, issuing a $25 million fine earlier this week against AT&T in connection with a breach, and as indicated by speeches by high-level authorities stating that in light of its recent order exercising jurisdiction over ISPs, it intends police their privacy and data security practices.
