FTC's Ohlhausen -- FTC will ‘vigorously enforce’ Privacy Shield framework

Acting FTC Chairman Ohlhausen, at FT Cyber Security Summit USA, said yesterday that the FTC will ‘vigorously enforce’ Privacy Shield framework and prioritize referrals from EU DPAs. She also said that the FTC has designated a point of contact for DPA referrals and that the FTC is committed sing its authority under the Safe Web Act to share information and provide investigative assistance to DPAs.
